COVID-19

At Oakbank Care Home, the health and welfare of our residents is our top priority, we want to make sure that all residents remain as safe as possible from the potential risks of COVID-19. We continue to follow all guidance and legislations issued by the Government, along with key sector bodies. We are responsible for keeping all individuals, their families and our staff informed at all times.

Although we faced a lot of difficulties throughout COVID-19, we worked extremely hard to implement all policies and procedures to provide plenty of reassurance for everyone; residents and visitors.

At Oakbank, the safety of our residents is our number one concern. That’s why we’ve implemented lots of new safety and protective measures within our facility, so that our residents can continue living the life they want to with minimal disruptions.

With these measures in place, we can make a real effort to reduce the rate of infection. By staying up to date with government guidelines and advice regarding social distancing regulations, the teams here are doing everything they can to ensure your loved ones remain mentally, emotionally and physically healthy.

We really value person-centred care, and believe strongly in the power of genuine human connection between our residents and our team members. Due to COVID-19, we have had to adapt out practices to ensure the ongoing safety and wellbeing of everyone in line with local and national healthcare guidelines.

However, by using extra Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), having enhanced cleaning regimes, areas for sanitisation and maintaining a safe distance, our teams have managed to continue doing what they do best; delivering unrivalled levels of care.

Ensuring Safety for All

The wellbeing of all individuals is our top priority here at Oakbank Care Home; we provide PPE and sanitation products for everyone, ensuring a safe environment and a reduced risk of contamination.

We are always committed to the official advice and guidance from the Government, Department of Health and the local NHS. All of our staff follow the infection prevention and control measures we have put in place, highlighting the importance of keeping all vaccinations up to date for everyone.

If the unfortunate event of cases start arising in our home, we have a solid process in place to record all incidents, taking rapid and appropriate actions.
