We take pride in our range of in-house amenities, one of which is our specially designed cinema room which has been created to provide ultimate comfort, allowing our residents to relax and indulge within our cinematic experiences, alongside creating memories with friends, family members and other loved ones.

Our enthusiastic activity coordinators always make the best efforts to provide a range of films for our residents, from timeless black and white classics to more contemporary releases. When our residents watch a movie, they transport into a new world, therefore allowing them to express their full emotions.

As we know, one of life’s simplest joys is to get lost in a movie, surrounded by friends and family. At Oakbank, we embrace the idea that even in a care home, life’s little luxuries should never disappear and our cinema room is warm and cosy, where our residents can unwind, enjoying much loved films on the big screen, all complete with surround sound.

We have a large collection of films for our residents to choose from and our activities team ensures that our film library stays current, being refreshed regularly. Our cinema room welcomes all visitors and we often host movie nights to help our residents unwind whilst enjoying an arrangement of snacks.

From a big projector screen and comfortable seating, our cinema provides the full cinema experience for all residents in the heart of our home.

Anyone is welcome to use our cinema room as part of our all-inclusive experience. Relatives and loves ones are also invited to use our cinema and if requested, we can arrange for our residents to enjoy a private viewing with their friends and family members.

We’re pleased to provide a range of films and as we get to learn more about our residents and their favourite films, we’re always topping up our film library, making sure there is something for everyone. On some occasions, we also show special televised events such as sports and other national events.
