From June 16th to 20th, here at Oakbank Care Home in Crieff we proudly celebrated Glad to Care Week, a national awareness event dedicated to recognising the incredible efforts of our wonderful staff team. Each day brought a special theme designed to enrich the lives of our residents and promote both mental and physical well-being.

Motivation Monday kicked off the week with fun line dancing lessons taught by Pam and Margaret Ann, getting everyone moving and smiling. Tune It Up Tuesday kept the energy high with lively dancing to the tunes of Chris White. Wellbeing Wednesday focused on thoughtful touches, as healthy gift bags were prepared for staff and positive stickers were hidden around the home for residents and staff to discover, spreading cheer and encouragement.

On Tasty Thursday, the home was filled with the delightful aroma of homemade treats. Staff brought in their own baked goods, and residents eagerly judged the afternoon tea competition, with Chloe’s white chocolate blondies earning special praise. The week concluded on Feel Good Friday with a joyful gathering in the garden, where residents and staff enjoyed cocktails and mocktails followed by a spirited sing-along.

Glad to Care Week at Oakbank beautifully highlighted the dedication and compassion of our team, committed to creating a vibrant, caring community. If you are interested in learning more about Oakbank please contact us.
